The fix by A1 works for me on build 565(old, I know) and my homemade wireless remote.  The only thing I noticed is that it doesn't trigger a script, but I don't know if it should or not.
I'm now excited about trying it out, so thankyou.

Has this fix been included in the latest build ? s2is-100e-0.9.6-714-full.zip  (739KB) from the http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ page ..
If not is there a build I can pickup ?
Thanks!

OK. I'll try this again. But I had the problem mentioned earlier with the switch to playback mode. When I upgraded the firmware, it did not even do that..
Do I need 4.5 V for this ?
Cheers!

Don't know what the problem is in this thread cos I've had no trouble with the USB trigger I made following the design from <chdk.wikia.com/wiki/USB_Remote_Cable>. Had to "enable usb" and "enable sync" in the CHDK menu tho. BTW I found that a short dab on the button set the focus and exposure and a second dab took the pic almost instataneously.  A longer press did both.

a second dab took the pic almost instataneously.

That is fine for ordinary photography but when synchronising multiple cameras the photo needs to be taken on switch release.

That does not work correctly.
