Deleting RAW
« on: 25 / April / 2009, 07:16:05 »
Hello

I'm having trouble deleting RAW using "purge raw" option of the file manager. Sometimes it works ok, but normally it doesn't delete *all* RAW which has not associated .jpg.
I've just made a test. I made 4 photos.

- I delete (using bin button) one jpg. I purge RAW, but .DNG is still there.
- I delete two more .jpg. After purging, There are 1 .jpg and 2 raw.
I've power cycled the camera, but .dng are still there.

Is this a known problem? Is there any workaround?

I'm using 0.9.8 753 CHDK on 1.01b S5IS, but it's not a new problem.

dngs are not deleted by the purge raw function. actually the purge raw function is buggy anyways, it needs complete makeup.

If you save your DNGs with CRW extension, they should be deleted by purge (if purge works for you).

They should also be deleted if you delete the corresponding camera jpeg (possibly depending on the prefix)
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Somehow I missed this post.

I fixed the Purge RAW feature, see this thread.

I hope it will make it into trunk soon.
