Again... Thanks for all your efforts! As soon as I get "reunited" with my G10, I will proceed to do all possible testing.

Thanks!

Update :   I have heard back from the beta test volunteers that they have had succes with the 1.02A and 1.04A Beta1 release.  Still waiting for word from the two 1.03B testers.

If there are any other volunteers out there with the 1.03B version,  it looks like we can use some help.

I have a G10 and would love to help beta test. Would this be possible?

Well, my version works great, exept for that shutdown problem, which I try to step-by-step for you, like I promised. Cheers

Download the latest beta version, test the various features of CHDK and then report what works and what does not work here :  http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6687.

It helps to follow that forum thread so you don't report things that have already been discussed.  When in doubt - report anyway though.  What you are seeing could be different.

Many thanks for  your advice, I will try it next week :)

I have Magic Lantern on my 550D, it works great! Hope we could have more functions to enhance G10 also!

Hi, I can't get my "Firm Update" option appear with beta 2c....

Regarding to the readme file:
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu to the "Firm Update" option which should now be available.
  <-- No "Firm Update" option

If by chance that you fail to see the "Firm Update" menu option try pressing your Playback button twice. You might have to wait 2 seconds between presses. When this is done right the lens will retract and go into a power-saving viewer/slideshow playback mode. This seems to be an option on most Powershot Cameras.
<--I try to press playback button twice in PLAYBACK MODE or shoot mode, but the Lens never retract, and no firm update appear...

ps. My firmware version is GM1.04A

Please read the beta release notes in the G10 porting thread http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6687.msg70886#new.     Especially the part about the SD card lock booting being the only method available

Hi Waterwingz,

Thank you, I can boot my G10 with CHDK, and I found I had been misleaded by the readme file.

The size of my SD card is 8GB, if we want to use CHDK, we have to re-partition the SD card into two partitions by SDM tools. (can refer to http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_for_Dummies )

There is on use by Cardtricks or windows format, and SHDK can't work with FAT32 or other file system.

I suggest you (or somebody?) can add this notice into the readme file :)
