How zoom to step 3 after starting the cam?
« on: 10 / July / 2009, 01:38:06 »
Hi,

I am new to scripting and need some help.
I want my IXUS 860 zoom to position 3 at autostart and then exit alt mode to be ready for shooting.

My 1st problem ist that the cam starts in replay mode, so zooming does not move the lens.
My 2nd problem is how to exit the script at the end to be in shooting mode, no more in ALT mode?

Any help is appreciated, thansk a lot!

You do not want to hear this but SDM solves both of those problems and leaves your normal default script intact.
Sample scripts for Digiscoping are provided with the SDM download that zoom to a set position and then enter manual-focus mode.

On power-up, camera switches to record mode.

You will have to find a CHDK solution.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. The problem is I already used SDM 1.80 with an autostart script.
But unfortunately the script does not start on power on the camera, it is a bug inside SDM for my IXUS 860.
Using CHDK I can start scripts automatically on power on without problem, so I just need the right script commands to put camera into shooting mode on start and zoom to right position.
So what are the command for that?

Thanks a lot for further help!

It does now because you have fixed it  :)

Where in \core\kbd.c have you put msleep(500) ?

Hi,

I added it directly at the beginning of the function as first command.

Just to be sure, you mean at the start of script_autostart()  ?
