G9 then G11, will G10 availability be coming???

Hi,

I found out about chdk today and I would love to have it for my G10.  I noticed the G9 and G11 versions listed, is a G10 version in the works. I searched this forum and could find no mention. 

Any reason a version doesn't exist, it certainly is a popular model.

I have a G10 and a graduate degree in Computer Science.  I program in C++ and I have assembler experience.

The g10 was not "skipped", because there is no order or plan to start with.

As stated in the above FAQ, which camera gets ported generally does not depend much on the camera, it depends on having a developer for that specific port (some cameras are more troublesome but that just increases the skill/time requirements). This is the deciding factor. The number of people who have the required knowledge, time, interest and own any given model camera is fairly low and essentially random. So the order that cameras get ported in is also random. More expensive cameras probably have a smaller pool of developers.

If canon would just send the CHDK developers all the new cameras every time the update their product line, this would be different
