I am pretty new here on the forum and the possibilities of CHDK - but I like that.
I want to do something similar and can not wait to try ... You encouraged me to go for that goal.

How did you accomplish the pan/zoom? By hand?  Automatic servo mechanism? Other?

Due to the short amount of zoom-range and narrow amount of panning, this looks like it was done in editing. If you shoot higher resolution images (larger), then you can zoom into them and pan around on them with an editor for the lower resolution video.

Very cool. What resolution did you use, and how often did you take a picture? I usually do 1600x1200 at 5 seconds between exposures and my 2gb card will last about 4 hours.
