Hi,

I'm going to purchase an european hf100 model. Unfortunately it doesn't support 24p but I would prefer this because 25p isn't bluray compliant. I discovered this thread and would like to ask if it's possible to update this device with the firmware from that japanese canon site to "enable" 24p?

And can I switch the display language back to german or english after this update?

thanks and sorry for my english^^

Jan

Hi, I'm new here and own an hv20.

Right now on the hv20 forum there's some director/computer programmer who's hacked the HV20, and we're supposed to find out today if it's a ruse or not.... That being said, I would like to know what you guys need to finish this job.  I'd like to help in anyway I could, and if you think you're close perhaps we could set up some sort of paypal firmware business?

PM me or just respond here.

Hi everyone,

I'm a french (so excuse my bad english...) owner of a HV20 and am very interested in having CHDK working on it. It seems that it is not ready now but I could perhaps help going forward.
Could you tell me how to start ?
I have some informatics background (Linux administration, some perl and python, a little C) but not very familiar with low level. So it's time to start learning  :D
And of course I don't want to do anything risky for my cam ... so I can do some tests but only safe ones !!!
