Dear All,

Further to my post with regard S/H powershots, I have noticed in the firmware section that Canon's official firmware update effectively changs any G9 to firmware 1.00i. As there appears to be a CHDK update for 1.00i, would it be fair to say that any G9 would be compatible for CHDK (i.e. using the canon firmware update if necessary? That would be great and would mean  I could look to get best deal on ebay for G9 and buy with confidence, knowing CHDK will work).

Thanks for any advice,

Nick

yes, that is safe to assume. unless there are newer g9s with like 1.00x or something.
however, upgrading the "real" firmware could potentially brick your camera.
