@Barney

I'm glad they're useful. I actually started adding the update blurbs after discovering the 'timeline' on the trunk site, and had just the use in mind you're making of them now ! Which is good, because they don't get downloaded that often. Anyway I'm just doing this anyway (in the morning or whenever I get up) to check if my caffeine level has risen enough to start on digging through the new posts ...

You didn't miss much, update-wise

BTW, I got a question: do you think it would be useful to give the 'copy custum folder' the option to copy both ways, I mean
card -> Folder besides folder -> card ? I also noticed your wise advice somewhere to guard one's CHDK.CFG like one's wallet or creditcard, some foolproof security for that might be a good idea too ...

- added Viewer to verify success of Universal Dumper
- custom folder can now copy both ways, now copies only CHDK folder
- option for an CHDK.CFG archive

Canon / CHDK-Forum :: Thema anzeigen - Deutsches "cardtricks"
in the german forum these guys built a german version of your app. atm the lang strings are hardcoded, maybe you can rewrite it so it uses "lng" files? since it is for newbies, we should have versions for more than two languages, eh?

whim, have you decided on the Automatic CHDK Download button? I know there are some drawbacks to point to all versions, but you could begin with the main Mods (or only one, just for  testing purposes). Besides that, these links might be edited on settings params too.

btw, many friends are getting addicted to Card Tricks.

@intrnst

Glad to hear it's useful, I'll see what I can come up with while working on multi-language support.

Whim,

"In the Fire"--nothing bad was intended (from the way I read the post)...

Just saying you have now become "Immortal" and your CardTricks software has been discussed in other threads and is now posted/documented on the Wiki...

And everyone will either comeback to you for any and all answers--or--CardTricks will now have a life of its own.

More, or less, high praise!

and Thank you!
-Bill

OK !
Wasn't offended or anything, just curious...

thanks for explaining

wim

BTW, @intrnst: while waiting for binary DL support you could try GCC Compiler Shell, which has all
        CardTricks features plus it lets you monitor and compile your own trunk versions, which means
        you're always up to date. It's here: zSHARE - chdk-shell-v125.zip

@wim: I'll try your CHDK-Shell and... you can rely on Bill, he made the correct translation

@Bill: thanks for your help, again
