Hi waterwingz,

If you open your ini file in a text editor, under [Trunk] you will find 2 entries like:
Quote
maxsearch0=1441
maxsearch1=912

The 'maxsearch1' entry is for CHDK-DE. Just make sure the number is higher than your latest
downloaded version, and normality should be restored.
You can also delete the entire 'maxsearch1' entry which will make it default to 9999 at the next
program start.

Normally this value is automatically set to [newest local build] + 100; however, after an update
the program imports the most recent ini file, and if that contains a value < the latest on the net,
things go wrong ... I should probably reset this value to default after an update, will put it on the
list of stuff to check.

Thanks for reporting,

wim

Obviously not a big deal.  Made that change and its working now - thanks!

CHDK-Shell-v336 (update version)

  • fixed:      Adapted Makefile and camera list parsing for philmoz' new Makefile system v. 2
                   (tested OK on philmoz' branch builds 1336 and 1362)
  • fixed:      Small graphical bug in miniGUI: a 6 x 1 pixel gap between 'Play button'
                   and 'camera body' would be visible when the miniGUI was positioned
                   over a light background; a new 'cam8.png' in the update fixes this.

  • Security: Clean according to Jotti AND VirusTotal, except 1 false report:
                  "Antiy-AVL   2.0.3.7   2011.10.12   Trojan/win32.agent.gen"
                  Checksums (FileAlyzer) are:

NOTE :  As of trunk release 1366,  it is now necessary to update to CHDK-Shell v336.   The older versions will no longer build the current CHDK release due to the recent (and long overdue - thanks philmoz) changes to the build structure.

CHDK-Shell-v337 (update version)

  • fixed:      Adapted camera list parsing for philmoz' new Makefile system v. 2 +
                   CHDKLover's mods for CHDK-DE. Tested on CHDK-DE 829
                   with CHDKLover's patch applied. Thanks !
  • changed: maxsearch0 and maxsearch1 are now reset to default when a new ini
                   is generated, to (hopefully) prevent problems as reported here:

  • fixed:      Tooltips in cam panel showed "ETA" i.o. "BETA" status
  • fixed:      'Version Statistics' reported nonsense info due to a change
                   in the way SVN returns it's date info.
  • fixed:      Routine to enable/disable controls in the mainGUI caused
                   certain buttons to occasionally lose their text.

@whim : Hi - me again.

I expect you've been following the recent thread about having an "Alpha" status for builds ?

http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6970.msg74863#msg74863

Well,  in addition to that,  I recently submitted the IXUS1000 for Bernd R - but marked it as not for the autobuild because it was not tested at all yet.     I notice that CHDK-Shell also ignores it - even though it downloads from the svn.

Is it possible to enable it even though its not ready for the autobuild ?  And will releases tagged "Alpha" be available under CHDK-Shell ?   Your tool is the development tool of choice  for CHDK (apologies to reyalp) so being able to build "Alpha" versions and "not for autobuild" versions makes some sense ?

Sorry if this is already a setup option that I missed.

Updated : Tried changing the value for ixus1000_sd4500-100d & ixus1000_sd4500-100f  from 1 to 0 in the .ini file.  No joy.

Hi wim,

since trunk 1395/ DE trunk 846 we get a new non numeric option OPT_DEFAULT_LANG.
CHDK-Shell generate a bad localbuildconf.inc on change any compile option.

The best solution: We have a ComboBox with items from Directory "CHDK/LANG/" excluded "english".

Thanks a lot, rudi

@rudi

Thanks, sorry for late answer ... yes, I noticed and am working on it.
A pity it wasn't just named DEFAULT_LANG instead of OPT_DEFAULT_LANG,
I always thought the 'convention' was that OPT_ was reserved for binary
defines, while names without (i.e. PRIMARY_ROOT) were for strings  ;)

I think "OPT_" is for selectable options, but that's also a question for main developers.

CHDK-Shell-v338 (update version)

  • added:   Option to use fading (i.o. sliding) in/out for window animation.
                  Looks better on systems with Aero themes.
  • added:   Support for tsvstar's patch for better default language handling
                  (http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=650.msg75254#msg75254)
                  Default (built-in) language can now be changed to any language
                  for which a language file is present in /CHDK/LANG. The relevant
                  option can be found in "Compile Options", separate settings are
                  maintained for CHDK and CHDK-DE. Please note these are written
                  to the ini file, and will automatically be applied to any builds
                  that have an "OPT_DEFAULT_LANG" entry in 'buildconf.inc'.
                  Builds that had their 'localbuildconf.inc' corrupted by previous
                  versions will be fixed on opening.
  • Security: Clean according to Jotti AND VirusTotal, except 2 false reports:
                  Antiy-AVL 2.0.3.7 calls it:   "Trojan/win32.agent.gen"
                  Jiangmin 13.0.900 calls it: "Trojan/Refroso.ijp"
                  Checksums (FileAlyzer) are:
