It depends. Registration with third party authentication isnt working properly but with email/password should be. There have been a few lately.

I just heard for that person again - "It's been a few weeks, so I thought I'd post an update: Still no activation email. I've tried having it resent, tried different email addresses, even different email providers, but still nothing in the inbox or spam folders."

Is there something else he can try?

I never received an email registering with my gmail address.

I registered using my own domain name address (alias) and the email arrived pretty much immediately.

@acseven A user reported in discord they were unable to register, because the anti-spam challenge doesn't appear. This seemed true when I tested in firefox. The registration page just shows "Anti-spam: complete the task" with out any way to interact with it, and attempting to register resulted in the "The solution of task you submitted was incorrect. Please read the instruction and try again." message shown in the screenshot

Thanks as always for keeping this running. While it's pretty quiet, people do occasionally still show up in Discord and IRC with questions.

Hi,

User registrations should be resolved. Social logins are disabled and not returning.

Focus is still migration but current forum instance should be stable.

PS: email notifications should also now be resolved (issue with many stale accounts contributing to the email being blocked)

Ongoing issues - I usually redirect people looking for CHDK support on Facebook groups to this forum instead.

@acseven and another on the (mostly dormant) CHDK facebook group today

ETA : the person today apparently got frustrated so used AI to do a port for his camera. It's not clear whether that was just a different firmware version of an existing port or a new port.
