mx3 juvaknin i'll be rude and say ... you can pay emklap 2 months salary and maybe he will provide you update. or you can do it yourself.
juvaknin if he was asking for support "$" he was getting it..... from many guys here and not only me.. if he will post here he pushing to make it ready and need support.. he will get.. big time!
emklap "SHOW ME THE MONEY" 😉 If I was able to make new FW I would do it free. I have not been able to decipher the FW so I stopped all my work on it. I don't have interest in CHDK. A pity that I cant have AF Micro adjustment but that's life. Good luck to any other developer who are trying. Maybe there is more luck in 2010. BTW the Chinese link is another link to the factory menu that can not be used without special Canon software. Bye Bye
ni na Hello, I see this post is from some time ago, nevertheless, I am having problems recording with 40D we are new at the matter and reading your info we have more doubts. we have this frame grabber board with flash point 4xl, and we are trying to record video with no success at all. could you help us a little please? thank you very much!
Mr. Goodbar I do a lot of HDR imaging and would love to have more control over AEB (e.g., more than three bracketed images, more than +/- 2EV). Does anyone have any idea how much effort it might take to decipher and modify the 40D firmware to add these features?
songuke Hi, I'm interested in making CHDK for Canon 40D. Any experts here can show me where to start, or how to work together with you guys to porting CHDK to 40D? Thanks.
lorenzo353 songuke, 40D is VxWorks based. Code has been written for DryOs based 550D/T2i and 5dM2, see http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Lantern_Firmware_Wiki Lorenzo
songuke Hi lorenzo, Thanks for the reply. So you mean porting ML for 40D is easier than doing so with CHDK? So far ML only supports for 550D and 5D, isn't it? Thanks.
arm.indiana Lorenso is right, it is better to invest energy in a DryOS camera, such as 550D or 5D, maybe 60d Indy
