You have set real ISO = 400 and the camera shows marketing value - 640...😀
so works CHDK...

CHDK can display real and marketing ISO in OSD...
There you will see these two values ISO...

Great! I got it to boot on my 1.00D ! I have been waiting for this for a while. The one problem I am seeing is that scripts aren't running properly. They all seem to go one step and then quit. Maybe this is something I am doing wrong though, as I am new to CHDK.

I did some tests with my G9 1.00D and I have the same problem: a script as simple as this one only takes one shot: /branches/grand/script/interval.bas - chdk - Trac . I added print commands to the script and it seems that the loop does continue but the "shoot" command works only the first time. I tried to replace it with click "shoot_full" but it doesn't work at all. This is weird because this one UBASIC/Scripts: Multipurpose Motion Detection - CHDK Wiki works well if I turn off the shot review: it does take more than one photo.

Also, a minor glitch: what CHDK writes (menus, etc.) sometimes disappears. It seems to be related to the face detection.

Anyway, thanks for all the efforts, it's great!!!

Thanks for your effort with CHDK for G9! You did a great job!
After I registered in CHDK forum (silly me 😛 ) I was able to download 1.00D CHDK. Now it's familiarizing&testing time.

Is there a version for the "I" firmware yet? I thought - why build CHDK for all these different versions, when everyone can upgrade the firmware and then only one version is needed.

That update is not officially supported by canon, so I'll wait untill the end of warranty to change the firmware.
But you can test it on your g9, if you like, and let us know how it works.

It works just fine. Seems to contain all the languages etc., the only difference is "1.00I" displayed with ver(s).req. The upgrade takes about 20 seconds and doesn't reset any settings or so.

I'm not able to develop the g9's raw (I mean crw files) with any software (ufraw, taw therapee or raw hide) and sometimes they crash.
I've been able to convert crw with dng4ps-2 using a650 profile, but the results weren't good.
Built in raw develop not always work and raw merge produce strange, unusefull grids.

Am I miss something?

i am a CHDK-Newbie and installed the Software for the 1.00 G Firmware.

But i have a problem with the focus at video-recording.

Is it possible to activate the auto-focus at recording videos?

The problem is, that the video is unsharpen, when i use the optical zoom.

bennygui: I tried interval and MotionDetection scripts on 100D, the result is that stuck on 'shoot' command (even if delay is used as suggested in FAQ). The press/release "shoot_full" forks. I will investigate as I need chdk mainly for scripts. But could anyone test both scripts with other firmware (G, F etc.) if is is a common problem or D specific?

bongo_bingo: I use the ufraw itself and the gimp cr2 input plugin, also qtpfsgui - all of them play with raw files perfectly...

Status:
The script that uses 'shoot' command stuck on the SCRIPT_WAIT_SAVE in kbd.c that does not finish. It waits for SHOOTING_PROGRESS_DONE status which is not set.

Update:
Well, last build was done in a hury with wrong capt_seq.c. Please play with new attachment (script is working).

I found small problem with auto signature generation. The STUB(FF942684) in stubs_auto.S is fine for 100g but for 100d it shold be STUB(FF942614). I had no time going into detail of signature finder and I have overcome this by redefining proper location. I saw in your initial 100g versions you defined whole function so you probably hit this problem. Do you know why this particular signature (for SsPrepareSeq) is incorrectly generated?

stubs_auto.S is generated by looking for branch calls to addresses like sub_XXXXXXXX in the inline ASM. Change those to refer to the correct address (replace sub_FF942684 with sub_FF942614) and all should be well.

It seems I found a funny bug in the signature finder. It takes only the lates BL from a line into consideration, so if there is a commented out code there will be a problem.

In the following the STUB(FF942684) is generated:
"BL sub_FF942614\n" //"BL sub_FF942684_my\n" ???????? //---------->

I am not sure if it makes sense changing the signature fnder code but is good to know it behaves this way 😀

I'm seeing the same thing with ufraw/dcraw. They don't seem to handle the crw files. With digikam (http://www.digikam.org) I get a garbled mess (basically static noise), so I'm wondering if these tools work with .CRW's. Using the "file" command the .CRW != .CR2

I've ArtDen to implement g9's crw in his dng4ps, but he replyed so:

bongo_bingo, use ONLY native g9 RAW format. It contains many useful values: preview, color profile, exif values etc apart from a raw image, whereas a hacked RAW file contains only raw image from camera sensor.

I'm interested because I'm curious to see how raw merge works.

Yeah it seems that the CRW format is very different from the CR2's. dcraw works well with the g9's native CR2 format, so I was looking for a method of QA'ing the CRW.

In playing with time stamping I've noticed the following (sorry for the crappy image):

The timestamp menu also doesn't have the ability to select Label Caption, Font Size, Font Color, Alignment. I'm not sure if this was already known, I'm just reporting what I see.
