It would be helpful if you say exactly which script (preferable with a link to where you got it from).

If you have "save params" set in the script menu, try turning it off.

I'm working on the sx200 port and when I look at the sx10 as a ref I find that core\kbd.c has

A720IS, build 0.9.8, 766. - 3 shots +/- Tv Custom Timer.
Camera did not crash shooting RAW, with or without DNG, with or without DNG file extension,
with "Add RAW suffix" enabled. Files were named "CRW_xxxx_01.DNG" "CRW_xxxx_01.CRW" .
Are they supposed to have "RAW" as suffix?

Yes, since there seem to be no differences between the SX10 ports, we should remove the BETA tag from all of them.

Although i normally don't use this feature, i did some tests with the SX10 1.01a.
With different settings (DNG on/off, buffer on/off, in JPG dir on/off) it works fine the most time, in P & Tv mode, with Tv (+- 1Ev) bracketing, in continuous mode and also in custom timer mode - the camera crashed only once while testing (around 200 images).

I guess it's not a general problem on the SX10, rather a timing issue or a conflict with some Canon routines writing to the SD card (e.g. the Canon thumbnail creation), maybe it's also dependent on the card speed (test card was a 8GB class 6 SDHC one)

I tested also the SD870, ~100 images (M mode, cont. timer & custom timer; Tv +-1Ev bracketing, DNG on/off; 4GB SD card), no crash at all.
(All test with autostart loading)

Fw 1.00c sx10-100c-0.9.8-808_BETA.zip I tested bracketing in DNG Av+- and Tv+- 1Ev did 10 sets No problem. and no problems anywhere else that i know about.
Also this is a great camera for doing infared pictures.

Has anyone noticed problems with mode_get() for SX10? I have fw 1.03a. I believe (unless my code is wrong) that mode_get() is returning MODE_PLAY when the camera is in record mode and the menu button is pressed.

A fix for me would be to detect that the menu button has been pressed. Anyway to do that in record mode?

build 820 FW1.03a: In alt mode going from user menu to main menu causes two headings (main menu under user menu) and the bottom menu item (Debug Parameters) becomes unreachable.
This did not happen on my old SX10 1.02b.

SX10 101a: after going to main menu, the screen is not refreshed, the old user menu is shown in the background - but all menu items from the main menu are visible & selectable, also the last item in the main menu: "Miscellaneous stuff".

I guess you've got "Debug parameters" in your user menu & you see this item in the (not refreshed) background...

There's probably a different variable that can be used, or perhaps it's a bitmask. Try watching the playrec_mode value with misc debug values. You can use the commented version that draws on top of everything to see it even when the menu is open.

I edited the code in gui_draw_debug_vals_osd() in gui.c to display playrec_mode
