Updated matrix for G7

One question: could this empirical method, adjustment by adjustment, give a solution closed to the real color matrix in the future? Or any new adjusted matrix could give better colors in some situation but worst in other ones compared to previous matrix?
It is only a theorical question, since Chdk for S5 is not yet available 😁

I mean...is each updated matrix a step toward the "real" color matrix of a camera (that we don't know obviously) OR
is it only a relative adjustment based only on new pictures provided??

In other words, does each updated matrix give better results of previous matrix in every situation? (in term of color fidelity)

I just recalculated new matrix from new image sources because I don't like old one.
My method is not precise. It gives results which approximate to Jpeg colors. Real color matrix can be calculated only by means of special color calibration target.

could it be possible to add support for A460 to your DNG4PS2 ?
It has different type of 5 Mp matrix (RAW size is 0x63FF60 bytes, matrix 2664x196😎
Previous A610/S2IS have RAW size 0x644C40 bytes, matrix 2672x1968

brabl2, done. But you picture for calibration is not suitable for color matrix calculation so color profile is poor. Try to make -1 exposure compensation and upload files again.

brabl2, still can't get correct colors. I don't know why. It looks like camera does some extra image processing when it produces Jpeg file. Now yellow color at image from RAW is little more saturated than at jpeg file, but I think current color matrix is better then previous one.

Barney Fife, this feature is not planned. But dng4ps2 is open-source software and everybody can improve it and implement feature you asked.

Thanks. The SD800IS matrix seems to work. Just one comment: the Settings window lists the "Canon SD800 IS," which is fine, but the "Conversion is in progress ..." window calls it the "Canon IXUS800 IS" which is incorrect. It should either be the "SD800 IS" or the "IXUS850 IS"

Hello ArtDen,

maybe I got something wrong.
But I use your version DNG4PS-2 v0.2.2 so that DNG looks like JPG on my S3.

So I converted 2 files with different Whitebalance (1 cloudy, 1 manual) from CRW to DNG. The JPG look different, the DNG look the same. I use Adobe Lightroom.

Did I understand anything wrong or is the program not taking into account my custom white balance?
