Yes, using A720 matrix for S5 appears to be quite good in Camera Raw!

lukgp, you also forgot set focus to infinity and your image is too bright even with exp. comp = -2/3

I'm quite sure i set focus to infinity (manual focus to infinity).
The problem is maybe the zoom...in the first post you tell to set the zoom to middle, but consider that this camera has 12x zoom, so I had to move a bit away from the monitor to take the picture!

Ok, i took a new palette, but this time without zoom (just a little); it's impossibile taking the full palette and keeping image out of focus (infinity) at the same time, with such zoom (3x-6x). I also setted ex. comp. to -1 this time! Hope it is ok!

Has the color profile for the S5 made it into the latest DNG4PS-2? I downloaded 0.2.2beta-24 (20.04.200😎 and the colors were off with the S5-IS profile (the 720is profile is pretty close to correct, though).

yes, I can confirm for S5IS: S5IS setting is unusable (too greenish). A720 setting is almost 😀 excellent.

How do I convert these to XY values that are used, for example, in Photoshop, to define the corners colour spaces? I assume there is some methematical relationship between the xyz values and the XY values.

I've tested DNG4PS2 with my S2IS and it works perfectly! Last time I used DNG4PS and the white balance/hue was all off and almost impossible to correct in Camera Raw (Photoshop). Now, with the custom profile loaded for S2 IS the RAW in its raw state is almost as good as JPG. Throw in some noise reduction technology and you've got DSLR-like quality 😉

When I get a moment I'm planning to write up the calibration process in the wiki. Hopefully we can streamline adding support for new cameras by allowing us camera owners to do more of the prep work for the developers.

Sounds great -- I would like to try it on the S5IS. If you do write up the procedure, please let us know.
