I did all of that fe50. The card was partitioned correctly and like I said, copied over the working card files. Still get nothing. Could it be the card or should I flash the card and start all over?

I suggest to format the card in the camera (maybe you want to backup your data/images first);
then create a new multi partitioned card with the SDM installer, format the first (small) partition, make this partition bootable, then copy the diskboot.bin to this partition. Now swap the partitions, format the 2nd (big) one & also copy the diskboot.bin to this partition. Lock the card & try...

Edit: for testing, you could also create a small, single partition (e.g. 2GB) manually, format & make the partition CHDK-bootable...

I'll give that a shot. I do like the speedy new card.

Just tryied this per-release today. It works pretty good, except some little minor bugs. Shall I produce a some-kind of bug report to help developer? (thanks a lot for your job!)

That would be helpful; i suggest to do this on the SX20 wikia page...

Not sure how, but got it working. I can only access the menu in playback mode...it cuts out in record mode, but it is working. I formatted, partitioned and did so many things I lost track, but finally got the 8Gb Ultra to work!

Has anyone tried to apply the mods to allow remote access to the camera via the PTP interface and CHKDCAM?

It works on my SX1 and is REALLY cool. My SX20 is version 1.00f. If anyone has this working on this version of the SX20 I would really appreciate it if I could get a copy.

So what has happened with 1.00f? I see 1.02b was added to the trunk, but I don't see 1.00f? Are there plans for adding it? I don't even see it on the SVN board!!!

I haven't had time. Only a small number of changes need to be made but the 100f owners seemed to have dropped of this board which makes it a bit more difficult.

Well, I have a SX20 with firmware 100f and I'm still here and following this thread.

My programming skills are rather limited 😳 , but I can build and test the code. Is the work done so far archived somewhere so that I can get a copy. I'll contribute what I can.

The latest code for the 102b is in the SVN repo. The 100f code can be found in some of the earlier posts in this thread. It shouldn't be too hard to port the latest code to 100f.

It is nice to look back to my old topic. 😀

Great job, acid2000! You reached to add your port to the trunk, that's excellent. My efforts was few to get it with 1.00F. I examined the sourcecode, and i made a new 1.00F build from the lastest svn repository.

For every tester: It was 30 minutes work and build, so do not expect anything. I just checked if it's started correctly.

By the way! I had to add my old "_RefreshPhysicalScreen(1);" line to the end of "vid_bitmap_refresh" function to get CHDK menu refresh correctly.

With this version finally MD works using the whole image and not just the upper half. And the AF led works as it should as well.

The camera crashes when using zebra. From reading this thread I think it is a problem with RAM (as the SX20 doesn't have very much). Taking photos within videos works though (but it's a useless feature), I think there were reports that it didn't work with the newer firmware.

HI everyone,

I'm really new here, and a proud new owner of an SX20Is, but firmware 1.02c (too!). I bought this one in replacement of my stolen DSLR, because there is CHDK.

As a 1.02c version don"t exists, I'm begging working on it. I will need a lot of support !

I dissasembled the fw, applying sigs & other. But for now, I did'nt really understand what to do & where ...
