Maybe you could have cleaned the wheel cover before the shot.

I'm not a car fan, but I've noticed they like wheel covers.

And you know what they say: With an old cloth it takes 5 minutes...with photoshop it takes half an hour.

its not just a cover its painted lol. the story was my friend wanted to paint the wheels a diff color, so we start putting on coats of this paint stripper we found in his garage. after 2 days of putting on coat after coat and not getting good results we read the label and find out it was organic soybean oil shit LOL. so he just said fuck it and painted over it again >.>

that's awesome... all the pictures could have been made with a DSLR, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them and your pictures.

is the photo of your dog also bracketing, if so... how did you get him to stay still? 😁

The creativity in your pictures are really awesome!.. I think I have to learn A LOT to take some pictures as good as yours!

thanks!! the one of my dog was a single picture, i just shot in raw and edited it in photoshop.

thank you for the compliments, this firmware has made my camera so much more fun. unfortunately i am growing increasingly bored with it, as the lack of an aperture diaphragm really limits what i can do as depth of field. I dont have the money for a nice DSLR yet (im only 17), so i just make do with what i have. its kind of funny how my friend with his new D40X gets all mad at my "pocket camera" pictures 😁

nope no tonemapping, just using the camera raw editor in photoshop. mainly added contrast and the lense vignetting effect is what makes my pictures come alive.

lol what aperture? that was shot at F/2.8. I achieved that depth of field with photoshop 😉

oh, ok. well you could have used the long zoom and by that achieve the shallow dof, couldnt you?

picture would have been less focused. from my experience my zoomed pictures always look worse than normal ones. lol it took a long time to get that blur outlined right.

i have another question.

did you use JPEGs for the HDR? Or RAW? If it was RAW, how did you managed to set the EV values correctly? Because Photoshop and Photomatix seem to be unable to detect the correct values and so the HDR looks more then awful using RAW....

Which settings did you use for creating the HDRs? +2/3, +1,3? And how many pictures at all per HDR ?

for the hdr pictures i used the jpegs. I havnt done an hdr recently though, kind of more into just shooting single shots in raw now.

no editing in photoshop besides the cutting and pasting. two shots from the same position, at f2.x, one focused to the wall, one focused on the spraycan. as you can see - blur.
or did you joke when you said you used photoshop?

hehe, maybe we should turn this thread into "show your latest shots", i dont feel like opening a new thread. just kidding, this thread will stay yours, with one exception (this post 😁).
got an idea how to "merge" these two pictures in a better way? the cut in the middle of the picture somehow looks too "forced" if you know what i mean. anyhow, just wanted to show shallow dof and stuff ;D
