CHDK works with Firmware 1.00B!!!! I just tried it! DNG works also! :-)

Hi,

My SD770IS 1.0.0a works just fine with DISKBOOT.BIN (from post#39) installed on a "small" card. Great job. Thank you!

I have 8GB SDHC and I've created as advised 2 partitions:
- small/FAT16/bootable with DISKBOOT.BIN on it (and CHDK folder created later) and;
- large/FAT32.
CHDK boots up fine, but the large partition is not visible/available to the camera. Any advice?
I've tried so many ways/programs described in different posts and the result is just the same - the large partition is not made available (by CHDK) to the camera.

And... in case everything works as it is expected and the second partition is open to the camera for saving the images how do I dump the images off the SDHC card as when used in a card reader the second partition is not available to WinXP unless I use "SDM Installer" to swap the partitions?

Yesterday I formatted my SD-Card to get rid of CHDK :-( The cam crashed several times, what wasn`t a big problem for me since turning on/off would help. I spent the weekend with friends and one of them copied the pictures onto his notebook on sunday. Tuesday the cam crashed again, but this time only taking out the battery helped! Yesterday I copied the pictures to my PC and .... they are all damaged!!! Fortunately my friend has them, but I won't risk loosing pictures again!

Hi, sorry for my bad english;-)

i use the diskboot.bin from reply #39 and the newest Autobuild ixus80_sd1100-101b-0.9.8-783-full.zip.
It works. I can make Photos with DNG (with the badpixel.bin from this thread) and CRW. But i can only open DNG-Files with Photoshop.
1. Is there a solution to open the crw-Files? To shot CRW-Files is faster than to shot DNG-Files.

2. When i open the DNG-Files with Photoshop, Photoshop says that the Photos are in 8bit. How can i change the Bit-Resolution to 12bit?

hi kevin,
as you may have read in the rest of that topic,
raw is not working in that chdk version, and there is no other availible for that cam in the moment.
and it seems that development for that cam has died some months ago

Well, it shouldn't die. It's a great camera (for that price at least). Isn't there anyone who knows how to do this?
btw: Can anyone tell me whether the chdk's long exposure "function" is working for the sd770/ixus 85!?
