Ok, sorry MilanC. Still it should be possible to change the ISO between single shots in a timelapse?

it could. but I have tried something very similar and failed. I tried to change flash exposure compensation between shots to do a flash exposure bracketing but it didn't quite work.

Hi! This is my first post there :).

First, i want say "thank you" to these GREAT people:
maiohwmai, cyrustam, crazyklaus, MilanC etc... (sorry, if forget someone).

Thanks to your great work on EOS350D firmware hack it is now possible for me have more control on my camera and, have more possibilities to make good shots! Thank you, guys!

And now some questions, ok?

First, how "deeply" possible to alter firmware - just add some functions, or totally remake all algoritms&functions performed by DIGIC?

Next, it exist "howto" or manual for newbies for performing altering of EOS350D firmware (such kind job that performed by crazyclaus, MilanC etc), i am understand that it requires some programming skills?

Last, my own wish is add a full manual control for internal flash, or just possibility to disable its E-TTL pre-flash (just for using internal flash for activating external one via "light-trap").

Thank you, again, guys for your work!

3 features added based on my last post

1.  extended processing parameters for Set 3

14: S3-Contrast
15: S3-Sharpness
16: S3-Saturation
17: S3-Color Tone

Set the "Parameters" to using "Set 3" in "MENU",
Go to "INFO" page, presss UP/DOWN to 14,15,16 or 17,
LEFT/RIGHT to change values,
it only works on RAW, no effect to JPG,

Support values
Contrast : -4 to +4
Sharpness : 0 to 10
Saturation : -4 to +4
Color Tone : -4 to +4

if you set the values too high/low, the camera may be hang or with some strange effect

2. Time lapse (based on MilanC code)

18: TL-Frames
Press "PLAY" to switch between 1,10,100 frames
then press "LEFT/RIGHT"
Press "SET" to start

19: TL-InterV
Press "PLAY" to switch between 1,60,3600 seconds
Then press "LEFT/RIGHT"
Press "SET" to start

3. extended AEB

20: eAEB-Frames
from 3 to 41 Frames
Press "LEFT/RIGHT"
Press "SET" to start

21: eAEB-ELevel
Exposure Level between each frames 0.3 - 6.7
Press "LEFT/RIGHT"
Press "SET" to start

example:
eAEB-Frames=5 and eAEB-ELevel= 0.3, it will take 5 pictures with the below AV compensation

0, 0.3, -0.3, 0.7, -0.7

there is a file called "AUTOEXEC_prefix_350D.BIN" in the ZIP, it is same as "AUTOEXEC.BIN"
it just change the file name prefix "IMG_" to "350D".

Another suggestion, could there be an option to turn the af-assist lamp even when not using the flash ?
it would help manual focusing in the dark...

And another thing, i have tried +/-6 flash exposure compensation with 430ex, and it doesn't work...is it supposed to work with built in flash only ?

@velja: I will test with 420EX and post tomorrow if I have got the time
I didn't test all the possible values, and only some with external flash

@cyrustam: great to have you back here coding thank you for your super work!

hey velja
I just did a test with a Canon 420EX external flash.
I tested every value from -6 to +5 in half stops. (-6, -5.5, -5, -4.5 ....)
Everything worked perfectly. at +5 I reached the maximum power of my flash so going on wouldn't have made sense, but of course that depends on the motive and the settings (focal length, aperture and ISO).
I didn't test the third stops but I really see no reason for them to behave any differently.

Hey, the af-assist lamp option would be really great for me too!!
Right planet, wrong universe.
