I contacted Eye-Fi and was told they do not support CHDK and if I install CHDK on one of their card, I would void the warranty.

I told him that I have a 4GB Eye-Fi card running CHDK for the last 1.5 years. He said "well good for you".

I guess they don't care about other applications for their cards.

You should ask him for a complete list of the files that will void your warranty if copied onto the card ;)

edit:
I can understand not supporting CHDK. It is completely reasonable for them to say, "if it doesn't work, that's your problem, don't bother us". But if eyefi is supposed to work as an SD card, then using it in any SD compliant device should be allowable, regardless of what other software it is running on that device.

Darn, I copied a few doc and pdf files from work into my card the other day. I asume my warranty is void now. If the card fails I'm screwed.  :'(

Two Things:

1) Using CHDK with any of our cards DOES NOT void the warranty (I myself have used it on some of my cards)

2) Gregg, can you please let me know who you spoke to and when so I can correct them.  The last contact I am seeing is when we where working on your Ad-Hoc issue and I would like to know who I need to explain this to.

I can not remember the name of the person I spoke with at Eye-Fi, sorry. Your records might help determine that. I was just quoting what was told to me.

Since I have your attention, does your new 8GB card support dual partitions so you can boot CHDK?

I have also had some ad-hoc issues which are mostly resolved. Read my post on your forum for details.
