DISCOVERY: Controlled Bracketing!!!

So after seeing someone say something about controlled bracketing, i started digging around the camera. I found the custom timer feature and found you can set it to a timer (so you can get your hand off the camera so it doesnt shake it) and take up to 10 pictures in a burst! So i thought "i wonder if this would work with the bracketing in continuous mode (allbest)..". IT DOES! Just setup your bracketing to w/e setting you want, setup the custom timer settings in the main menu (how long the delay should be and how many pictures to take), set it to the custom timer mode, trip the shutter and watch it automatically take the pictures and bracket them for however many pictures you set it up to take!

Amazing! I am so excited now  :D

only downside is you can only set it to use up to 10 exposures  :(

It works on my S2 IS too. Real nice discovery - thanks.
First I thought "What for? you could to this with a script". But after trying it, i prefer your discovered way. You don't have to care, that you have the right script with you. And 10 exposures is enough in most cases.

Hold on,  is this custom timer thing Canon's own thing, or is a CHDK feature?

seemed to work well on an A560.    3 exposures.  +/-,  And only shutter speed was altered.  F stop remained constant.  Cool!

Fantastic!!!

"Custom timer" -> I completely forgot that feature and now take a new fresh air!!  I really like HDR... here are some examples:

by the way works fine on Ixus700-SD500.

Thanks Coutts !
