just unlock the card before you hand it over to your wife.

... and pray she doesn't format it  :D (outsmart her: backup CHDK folder + diskboot.bin  ;))

that is all the lock is the "selector"?  that is fine.  my wife has no clue how to format the card, but a back up is a smart idea.

Is this where to post bugs?  The video does not work but that seems to be a known issue.  But there are a few minor items which come up from time to time.

Oh yes, it lacks the feature of Divination.

sorry but I'm too stupid. CHDK doesn't work on my IXUS 80 FW 1.01A

1. make Card Bootable
2. copy the content of the ZIP-File to the SD-Card

it doesn't work..
what did I do wrong?

Well my wife is on board so far.  I did not see it in the options but figured i would ask.  Can you swap the alt control button?  i dont need it to be a different button but a click and hold to activate the alt menus would be nice.  She takes movies of the kids and we have the print button programmed to switch to video......I know i know why cant she adapt and hold the button movie and not just click.....a fight i rather not have if there is a quick solution.

Thank again for the people who ported this.  If i can help on the video let  me know.  I an not a programmer but i am willing to test new versions.

re the patches here [REQ]Adding new cameras, applying patches into trunk (with source code prepared) the massive additions to the signature system is causing me headaches.

The sig_ref_*.txt files are cumulative for each platform so you should only add things to sig_ref_dryos_2.txt that are not found correctly by the ones in sig_ref_dryos_1.txt

There also seems to be some other stuff that doesn't really belong there, i.e.
NULLFUNC 0xffa7b658
unknown_libname_80 0xff878290
unknown_libname_96 0xff87ff9c
and many others.

It is NOT good to have extra stuff in the sig files, because unless they are found for every platform, you get build errors.

Stuff that isn't currently required by other cameras should probably go in stubs_entry2.S

I'll see if I can hack around this in a way that doesn't break all the other dryos cams, but it's not pretty. The whole system could really use some TLC, but I'd like to get the sd1100 in without getting into that quite yet.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Agreed.

background: I don't have IDA so I used the findsigs for my homebrewn disassembly tools ;)

However, u missed to commit the loader/ixus80_sd1100 stuff!
So actually it can't compile ... o_O
