Hi all,

I'm new to this community  but have used CHDK on previous cameras extensively. I recently purchased this G15 and just grabbed the firmware.

This is firmware 1.00b
The DryOS firmware address is FF000000
Dump is available here :

I've tried the ver.req method to get further firmware information, but did not succeed as was already suggested in the wiki for this camera.

I have no previous experience developing CHDK and very little Assembly development in general for that matter, so this may take me a while. I'm reading through the developer guides now though but figured I'd post the dump in case anyone wants to take a look.

Its important to read through those documents but don't overlook the CHDK IRC channel.  Sometimes its only bots and zombies there,  but most nights (North America time) and weekends you can find help.  If nobody answers a question right away, leave your client running and check back later.   

There is nothing like a little "real time" coaching to make the process easier.

So, as promised, here's the code for the G15 firmware version 100B:

I briefly tried zebra, histogram, edge overlay, Av/Tv override and they seem to work.

TODO:
    - Custom palette is kind of broken (it breaks Canon's menu too)
    - AutoISO seems to break (=crash)
    - Saving RAW breaks (=crash), romlog: http://pastebin.com/PQkNE3NP
    - movie_rec task (unimplemented)
    - Debug LEDs address
    - DNG color matrix informations missing
    - ???

If you're eager to try it out, I can spin a test build, but probably for now developers-only is better.
I will ask for inclusion in trunk once we see if it works good enough for alpha

Hi,

I'am curious about the movie possibilities with CHDK.
The G15 has a little problem with smooth panning.
Could it be improved with CHDK?

I guess you would have to tell us exactly what kind of problem the G15 has with panning?
