Question about chdk on newer cameras.

This seems like a simple question, but I did a lot of searching and didn't find the answer.

It seems like almost all cameras that support chdk are at minimum, at least 2 years old, most older.  Is chdk support still possible on the current lineup of cameras on the market now, or is there some point when a change happened that prevented chdk from being ported?

One of the main reasons I wonder is its frustrating that 90% of people selling their 4 year old beat up 5-7 megapixel canons, generally want to charge a similar, or higher price, than brand new 10-12mp powershots cost in the stores (especially when they are on sale).  Even if they don't know what chdk is, they just seem to think that since their camera may have had a msrp of $300 4 years ago, that $120 is a good price for it now.

There are CHDK (and SDM and CHDK-DE) builds for quite a few 2010 cameras. However it takes time (certainly weeks if not months) to produce a build for a new camera (assuming that someone with the rare skills and dedication has the camera in question).

You can see the current state of play here http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/For_Developers - as you can see there are quite a few DIGIC IV cameras including the s95 which came out in the second half of last year.
