+64secs exposure on ixus 850is

Hi,

Currently CHDK release for ixus 850is does not support +64s exposure times: it is limited to 64secs whereas CHDK on other cameras can go up to ~2000 seconds.

Can the feature be enabled as well for the 850is?
Who can do it, is it complicated?
If I were to do it myself -if nobody else can- where can I get the source code, where is the modification to be set and how can I compile it ?

Thanks in advance.

- complicated ? hmm, yes, a bit ;) ... you need some assembler skills, also IDA Pro for disassembling...
- the "howto-thread" is here: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,3461.0.html
- you'll find all needed informations here: CHDK wikia: For Developers
- under MS Windows the easiest way is using wim's great CHDKShell (download latest trunk, modify the code, compile)

Thanks a lot for the answer, I didn't know these links.
I'll try it but indeed the time to be friendly with all of this can be consuming :-/
