Can with the CHDK we change the video recording format to increase the recording time (MPEG4 or AVC H.264).
This may be a revolutionary feature. My camera is Canon TX1.

Thanks, But i read in the front page that video recording time can be increased by using different compression.
My second quastion: Can maximum movie recording length limit be increased from 4GB to 16 GB.

No. Fat doesn't support files larger than 4GB

CHDK can adjust the bitrate of the existing motion jpeg codec. Using a more advanced codec would be much harder, and generally require more processing power than is available.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Is it possible to use an intermediate resolution between the one embedded in camera?
for example my g9 can do, natively, 640x480 @ 30 fps and 1024x768 @ 15 fps.
Isn't it possible to achieve (i.e.) 800 x 600 to get (i.e.) 20 fps?

It is not currently possible with CHDK. Whether the hardware can do it is unknown.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
