Oh boy, how I love WINE!! Test completed. Status: My hardware works perfectly, signals are strong. Ready to rumble now... :xmas
This evening I got some 100k resistors, just want a confirmation if the simple circuit in reply #21 is the best for dumping in that case.

My hardware works perfectly

Are you telling the truth ?  :)

Just so we are both talking about the same thing, are you using the scope programme that I gave you the link for ?

Connect the photo transistor as indicated in reply #21.
Point the TV remote at it.
If necessary, adjust the microphone volume control and/or the scope amplification control.

If you have problems, unsolder one end of the resistor in the jack plug.

If possible, post a screenshot of the scope display.

i assume the above screenshot is from the noise pick-up test and you have not tested the phototransistor yet ?

I took allready a look into the code, to check if the G11 uses a new "dancingbits" code, which prevents the execution of diskboot.bin. But it has the same dancingbits code as one of the previous models { 5,3,6,1,2,7,0,4 }.
Can you test a diskboot encoded with this that just turns on an LED ?

This NEED_ENCODED_DISKBOOT=2 btw, like sx200.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Looks like dumping has been done already... Congratulations, ERR99!

That is OK, the effort was not wasted.

Now, at least two people are interested in taking this further.

Incidentally, you could still try pointing the TV remote at the phototransistor to see what happens.

I don't seem to have any phototransistors right now.
