Sounds OK to me.
Fix committed (for 1.4 too).

Attached is a patch to limit the ISO override range to 100..3200. Since there was no existing option for a high limit, I had to introduce one (CAM_MAX_ISO_OVERRIDE).

I'm planning to commit this if it's working as expected.

@blackhole
Can you test if it's effective (should limit override range and should no longer crash when overriding ISO)?

It works well. I can not cause a crash camera.

New test build with limited ISO override range (100-3200) and enabled additional AF scan during video recording from this post:

Hey guys! I want to say a BIG thank you to those of you who have been working tirelessly to make this port a reality! Honestly since i bought my camera i have been looking for a port. And i am glad to finally find one (will test it now but i am really greatful so i am being presumptuous) I do wish i could contribute to this but I have no experience in coding but ill definitely do my part whichever way i can help! Thanks again and God bless!

Hi guys!
I have been following your progress almost from the beggining and today I install CHDK and works fine, really happy hahaha!

Some information:
I'am using a MicroSD with a Samsung Adapter and works fine.

I want to ask a question:
Do you think this script works on the camera?

Also, if you need some help on testing, here I'am with me new CHDK.

Thanks a lot!!!!
Akaar.

Edit: It works on the camera.

Hi!
The script works in a certain way, but there are problems for which has not yet found a solution.

Ok so i installed the software, have it on for 2 days now, it runs amazing so far except for battery. It runs the camera hot, screen gets hot n also close to the battery compartment.. Between playing with the settings n taking about 10 photos, the battery honestly didnt last long... Ill do some more test, but can the software be tweaked for better battery performance?

There's one issue with cameras that have 'ECO mode': none of the Canon powersave modes activate until CHDK ALT mode is entered (and left) at least once. (Can somebody confirm this? I see this happening on my DIGIC 4+ and 6 cameras.)

Not sure if this is the cause of your reported problem. CHDK shouldn't (and IMHO can't) cause excessive power drain.

I do not understand exactly what you mean by this.

Yesterday I made 383 exposures of 15 seconds, using simple intervalometer. I think it's OK. It is very close to Canon's specifications in the user guide.
As for the battery temperature after 55 consecutive shots(3 sec.), the temperature increases by 3 degrees. After 15 consecutive exposures of 64 seconds, the battery temperature increases by 5 degrees and stays at that level the next 5 exposures. More than that I have not checked. The temperature of the sensor is all the time very close to the temperature of the battery. Yesterday I have not looked at the temperature of the sensor, after 383 exposures, it would be interesting to see.
