only semi-related to CHDK...

remember how videoTAPE would add the time & date stamped into a corner of the video?

It shows up when I record on my Panasonic DV camera, but not able to capture it or have it show up after recording.

any ideas on how to do that?

or how to add it to video/time lapse taken on my A620 thru CHDK?

ThanksInAdvance

Hi, welcome to the forum !

I would use VirtualDub for this, with Thomas Hargrove's "Add Frame Numbers" plugin (see attach: also does time/date stamping)

vdub is here: http://www.virtualdub.org

plugins are here: http://www.thedeemon.com/VirtualDubFilters/detailed.html - be sure to use the "Mirror" link,
other links appear to be dead (?)

You can also use Vdub to create timelapses from jpegs (hint: in the FileOpen dialog select "Image sequence" in the file types drop down box)

have fun,

wim
