I am setting up an Intervalometer and I wanted to extend battery life by turning off the LCD; but I can not figure out how to do it.  Any Suggestions?

There have been many discussions on this forum about that if you do a little searching.   The short version is that while you may be able to disable the LCD backlight,  it does not save a lot of power.  Cameras with an optical viewfinder can usually also turn off the actual display - which is better.
