Well I got it loading now, but only in playback mode and the camera needed a really long time to boot up. When I press half shutter there i get an error "unknown propset 8". In Shooting mode CHDK is not loaded and I can't take any pictures.

And Firmware dump is done: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bmYkPihooHDCQ4Dv8KDGI0DOL0Znvrkl

I can't really work out what might be happening.
"unknown propset 8" probably comes from a script and might indicate that old CHDK files are on that card.

Try re-formatting the card, make it bootable and extract a complete build from http://mighty-hoernsche.de/trunk/ .

The main part of the ROM matches the 100h dump we have. I found a romlog in it that does not seem CHDK related. The log part seems a bit unusual (may have happened while the cam was in a Canon service):

If you can't get the large cards to work, try something small (up to 16GB).

BTW, does the cam work without issues if CHDK is not loaded?

Well before i started anew i complete wiped the card. So there can't be any old files left on it. I did a clean start. And as far as I know the camera hadn't been to canon service yet, unless i was given a refurbished one instead of a new one.

And yes without chdk it works without any problems

The default script (which has not been updated for a while) can show a similar error: 'unsupported propset'. That might mean CHDK got into ALT mode somehow and you started the default script when you pressed the shutter (the default ALT button is the Playback button). Try making sure that you're not in ALT mode when you half press to switch to shooting mode.

Is that different from other cameras? With my sx500 chdk was loaded when I started it in normal shooting mode. Do I have to start the sx60 always in playback mode and then switch over to shooting mode?

It should start in shooting mode if you hold the power button down a bit longer. This is normal for CHDK.

If SX500 starts in shooting mode from a short click on the power button it, it's probably bug.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
