Is the firmware between SX100 and SX110 so different? They have the same picture processor (DIGIC III) and the menue is also the same. I have no porting-experience, and in german we would say ("wenn man keine Ahnung hat, einfach mal die Fresse halten"), but if I were a Canon software developer, I would adapt the new software as little as possible and save time and money.
I bought the SX110 yesterday. Its a great camera, much better than SX100. I am ready to assist any porters in testing and/or any other stuff which is required for porting.Folks... Also Had used earlier the A570IS - Another Legendary camera and used its CHDK with great results. Well. Am waiting for the CHDK for the SX110IS in the same manner as the expectations are high. !. So please ..... Any developer has started the porting process ?
I would like to ask: Canon PowerShot SX110 can use CHDK it? What is the time to achieve? Thanks!
