Two or more non Wi-Fi cameras are then synced via CHDK or SDM or SDM-Lite, CHDK is used when "Small" image overlaps are required, SDM for "Large" image  overlaps are required.
Please explain why you believe this to be true? What is different between CHDK and SDM that the size of the image overlap matters?

In any case, it's nice to see my PowerShot N port being used for something. Getting the touchscreen hacked was a lot of work (it's unique) and I never received much feedback about the port.

More detailed Explanation's for anyone interested in the general design of, outwardly pointing, CHDK or SDM Camera Array's.

This type of, outwardly pointing, multi-camera rig is used for capturing panoramas, the main design goal is to "MINIMIZE" Parallax stitching errors, So a design requirement is locate the cameras  close together as possible.

The FourSee isn't "outwardly pointing" -- the four cameras point at a screen upon which a large-format lens projects an image. Thus, all four cameras sample the same view. The control makes two of them capture at 240FPS a half frame out of sync to provide a 480FPS base, and the other two sample 24FPS and stills with longer exposures to enhance the dynamic range up to 16-20EV. From the resulting Time Domain Continuous Imaging (TDCI) data, one can computationally render stills or video frame representing any time intervals.

We have even implemented TDCI capture inside a single PowerShot using CHDK to grab and encode the live view feed: http://aggregate.org/DIT/ei2017CHDK.pdf

That's very cool, thanks for posting :)

FWIW, anything you or your students feel like sharing is welcome in the creative uses of CHDK section or on the wiki. Seeing interesting thing people do with it is one of the main rewards of working on this project.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
