Issues with compiling under windows

Howdy all.

I've been working on porting the A470 for a few months now and i'm just about ready to compile and test out the work I've done so far...only problem is I don't seem able to download the "ready -to-use" environment from the wiki (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Compiling_CHDK_under_Windows).

Whenever I log onto zShare, I wait the usual 50seconds, then click on the link to download, and it takes me back to the previous screen. I noticed that other people have had this issue in the past and resolved it by using the alternative mirror...but the Rapidshare mirror has been deleted.

Would anyone mind uploading the windows environment so I can get myself a copy?

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: Any ideas if if works with Vista yet? I have 2 machines so it's not a big deal...it's just all my work is on my Vista machine atm :(

Thanks again.

Hello & welcome !

For Windows read CHDK wikia: CHDK-Shell, a ready-to-use dev environment, also with the needed DL links.
The old / other downloads are available here:
 CHDKDEV drop
 CHDKSOFT drop

On Vista you can try the latest CHDK-Shell with the gcc 4.3 compiler, but mostly it doesn't work on Vista, use XP instead...

*Edit: updated the wikia & replaced the broken links...

@Solar

- There's copies of both the old 3.4.6 and the new 4.3.2 on fe50's drop here: http://drop.io/chdkdev

- neither of these 2 work on Vista (it's the fault of sh.exe) ; a Cygwin version built according to
  these instructions: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User:Geekmug/Compiling_CHDK_under_Windows does
work under Vista, but you need to build it first; copying your stuff to an XP/2000 machine will probably be faster  :D

- CHDK-Shell full (with GCC 346 + GCC 433) is here: http://drop.io/gcc_for_chdkshell

Thanks, much appreciated.

I'll get back to work and hopefully get a result!!

Edit: By the way I already tried http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User:Geekmug/Compiling_CHDK_under_Windows but had no luck.
I came up with a string of errors...something about expecting an absolute variable. Blegh can't remember.

Hi Solar. Just wondering if I can help ? I want to buy 30 A470's for a project and I really want to use chdk's remote trigger function on it..

Thanks, much appreciated.
