I know it from other forums, the first three posts are checked first before they are published. Wouldn't that be an option here?

That would be a question for acseven, but with current volume, I think it's fine the way it is, and I'd generally prefer people with real questions have their posts show up quickly.

Original post in 2011 was done with a CHDK script, so that's fine.

The two "people" bumping a 10 year old post with generic marginally on topic replies ... *eyes banhammer*

One of "them" has already come back and modified their post.
It looks like another spamming operation has selected this forum as one of their targets. This one is using more real-life usernames instead of generated ones.

Perhaps we need a time limit on editing of posts (i.e. after X hours/days the posts are locked).

Hm. I admit I like being able to add notes to my technical posts that turned out to be wrong years later.  I suppose mods would still be able to do that.

Yeah, I think that's the best explanation for that one. Finding and translating a post about the same subject in another language seems like a lot of effort though ???
