After erasing the folder 100CANON where my previous pictures were stored, I take new pictures: the first raw file starts with a numbering equal to the last raw I took before erasing the 100CANON folder, plus one. Say last raw I took was numbered 6. Now the jpeg starts at _0001 as normal: So using exposure bracketing (-2, -1, 0, 1, 2), I have, say 5 jpeg numbered 1 to 5, and 5 raws numbered 2 to 5 and 7. In addition, raw 7 (corresponding to the jpeg 1) is exposed -1 (and not -2) and is just like raw 2.
I tried the option of writing raws in a different folder than jpegs, but I could not get it to work. Everything always get writen in 100CANON only, and I have never seen any other folder.
Questions: 1. Is there something I am doing wrong? 2. Is there a way to have the raw files reset to 1 after I have erased the 100CANON folder?
By the way, I cannot believe what the CHDK builders/developers have done. It is simply amazing!!! Shame on canon for hiding all these from us, and many thanks for the CHDK crew for revealing these.
