Try this version, hopefully it will help with the RAW crash.
Not sure about the firmware update boot crash - the romlogs are identical so it looks like the camera isn't saving a log for this crash.

Saving RAW is now OK.
The image is slightly reddish, but it's probably because I use the color matrix of the A650 in dng4ps.
In My computers still missing the icona of the camera while running CHDK (the card is locked).
Sending a new romlog for FW update.

That looks like the wrong bayer pattern for the sensor.
I think DNG4PS2 calls this 'Mosaic Type' in the camera options - try selecting the other option (let me know which one works).

The romlog is the same so I'm pretty sure the firmware update crash isn't saving a crash log.
Not a lot I can do about this without the camera I'm afraid - as I said earlier it could simply be one of the cameras that this doesn't work on.

Mosaic type RGGB to greenish image
When I rewrite the color matrix from platform_camera.h image is even redder than the A650 color matrix.
I think the A650 color matrix and GBRG is better solution.

Played around with the RAW file you sent a bit.
First you can't really copy the color matrix from a much older camera even if the sensor size is the same. Even cameras from the same year aren't necessarily going to give the same results.

I don't have the original JPEG to compare to; but I took the color matrix from the A1100 platform_camera.h file and put it into DNG4PS2 and the results don't look too bad to me. See attached image.

The DNG4PS2 settings I used are:
Sensor size = 4104 x 3048
Jpeg size = 4000 x 3000
Active zone x1, y1 = 20, 24
Active zone x2, y2 = 4020, 3024
Black-white levels = 127, 4095
Mosaic type = Green, Blue, Red, Green
Bits per unit = 12
Color matrix #1
Illuminant = Daylight
Matrix = 0.793137 -0.271722 -0.113158 -0.055013 0.541027 0.032394 0.021921 0.071395 0.181847
Multiplicator = 1.0 1.0 .10
Color matrix #2 = not used

That's OK.
I have not changed the Active Zone and Black-White levels, because I had bad results.
DNG format also works well.
The only remaining problem is that the card has to eject from the camera to download images if chdk running.

Under Miscellaneous stuff --> Remote parameters, do you have 'Enable Remote' turned on?
If so try turning it off and see if that helps.
