Shell v3.44 used to compile fine but since a few weeks ago, now you have to select OPT_FORCE_LUA_CALL_NATIVE in order to compile.
Is the make file that comes in the zip-trunk  file somehow different now?

CHDK-Shell-v345 (update version)

  • fixed:          Downloading from SVN for revisions > 3661 was not working, so scraping &
                        parsing routines were completely rewritten. Also added logging for
                        downloading/scraping/parsing, see CHDK-Shell\scrape.log
  • added:       Support for newer (arm-eabi) compilers; in the 'Compile Options' dialog
                        compilers now show version and ABI style. Hybrid (dual ABI) compiler
                        kits are also supported; 'OPT_USE_GCC_EABI' option is automatically set and
                        can only be changed if a dual ABI compiler kit is selected. Thanks to msl, see
                        http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=845.msg119138#msg119138 for
                        more info. Note that this also works for the latest GCC 4.9.3 found here:
                        https://launchpad.net/gcc-arm-embedded/4.9/4.9-2015-q1-update/
                        You can also download a complete 'hybrid' devkit from my box:
                        gcc464-493env-forCHDK-sfx.exe (464arm-elf + 493arm-eabi)

  • Security:   VirusTotal gives 4/57 (false) alerts about CHDK-Shell-v345-sfx.exe, offenders
                        this time: Kingsoft, Comodo, Rising and CAT-QuickHeal.
                           Checksums (FileAlyzer) are:
                           CHDK-Shell-v345-sfx.exe
                           CRC-32:   791867B8
                           MD5:      FAE0D6569B25952739AECC7E4D80BACC
                           SHA1:     2C681CA16A492E11CD5854D9833A7807E027E29A
                           CHDK-Shell_Updater.7z
                           CRC-32:   78579847

@lapser, @msl, @dvip
Thanks guys. Some extra info on the scrape.log: setting 'scrapelog' in the ini file to 1 will give you a
continuous log (info will be appended @every scrape operation). Setting it to 0 will disable logging.
The line numbers in the scrape log refer to the assembla page sources, which are saved in the same
place as the scrape log: 'nodes.html' and 'nodes-branches.html'.

@hwntw
Sorry to hear that, I'll set up a VM ASAP to investigate this. In the mean time, if you haven't done
done so yet, please check if your anti-virus / anti-malware programs aren't interfering with
any executables (the program itself, or compiler components)
It would also be helpfull to know if it produced an error message box. Some details about your install
could also be usefull: was this a new install, or did you update from a previous version ?

@Pier

Thanks for reporting - at least now we know v3.45 is not incompatible with XP SP3.
