I'm attempting figure out how to add support for my a650. I'm particularly interested switching to playback mode so i can delete images. i'm doing the property case dump but i'm not seeing a corresponding change in the 0 to 279 range.

set_prop(227,1)

in lua fails to put the camera into Tv mode although it does seem to correspond to 1 when i dump the properties.

any advice on moving forward?

Although nothing has been done about the ticket I submitted (see http://chdk.kernreaktor.org/mantis/view.php?id=118), I have now produced versions based on build 701 for the A560, A570, A720 and G9 - see here:
http://www.zenonic.demon.co.uk/kapstuff/zchdk.html

I have a part-working version for the Ixus70/SD1000 too. I say part-working because for that camera all I can do is switch between Movie Mode and whatever still mode the camera is set to. This is because switching between still modes (Auto and M for example) on the Ixus is done via a Canon menu, not by sliding a switch. None of the 3 physw_status fields change when switching modes in this way. And although properties 49 and 50 do change, setting them via a script has no effect either.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to switch between Auto and M modes in a script on cameras such as the Ixus70?

Why not just emulate the needed keypresses with click/press ?

Do you have your sd1000 version available somewhere for download?

No, but SDM now handles mode switching for almost all cameras.
