Second question: I'd like to use my camera for unattended interval shooting, like when mounted on a quadrocopter. They said, CHDK would be able to do this. At least I couldn't find anything in the menus, so I guess I need some script for that. Could anybody give me some advice for starting, please?

Yes - you will need a script for that.   To practice,  there is a simple intervalometer script called interval.lua included with CHDK.

Basic instructions for running scripts are given here :  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual#Scripting_.28program_your_camera.29

When you have that figured out and are ready for something more advanced,  you might want to look at this : http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/KAP_%26_UAV_Exposure_Control_Script
