Here is the manual.   I like the idea that I could use a remote shutter release for this camera, a capability that it did not come with,  I am just starting to learn how to use this program, so consequently I probably won't be much help...fortunately this forum has some really helpful people on it.

I have the SX 120 IS also. You downloaded the right software for it.

You need to set the raw parameters so that you save as DNG. Otherwise CS5 cannot see the files as it will not read CRW files.

I would like to try tinkering with some source.  It sounds like theres at least a partially working port to start with.   The page for the SX120 says to post here to get SVN access.  Can someone provide that?  I attempted to do an anonymous checkout and got rejected.  For now all I want is read-only access to the source.

The sx120 source is in the chdkde tree

Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hola Amigos, I've used CHDK for years on several Canon A-series camera. Recently, I bought a SX120 and installed CHDK on it. For some reason, every time I run an intervalometer script the camera takes ONE picture and then hangs.  I have read that others have had similar problems but were able to fix it.  I am hoping someone can share their settings or point me down the path to get any of the intervalometer scripts working.

I am running:
Firmware Ver GM1.00B
with CHDK sx120is-100b-1.1.0-DE-full
on a properly formatted and bootable 128 megabyte SD card

I have tried these intervalometer scripts:
* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/LUA#Minimalistic_Intervalometer (minimalistic/simple version)
* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/LUA#yet_another_accurate_intervalometer (accurate intervalometer)
* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User:Fe50#double_intervalometer (double intervalometer)
* http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/UBASIC/Scripts:_Ultra_Intervalometer (Ultra Intervalometer)

Again, the script starts, takes one photograph and then everything hangs on the preview of photograph it just took. This is the same in all the scripts.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Ivar

Hi guys.

I got my sx120 dead by installing sx120is-100b-1.1.0-full_BETA_rev_840.zip

I've used chdk before and updated it from  http://forum.chdk-treff.de/download.php

I've did usual thing: formatted card with cardtricks, set bootflag, unpacked chdk to card, switched sd card lock and started camera turned it on and my sx120 ejected lens as far as it can and even more than that and turn off. wtf happend? now when I'm trying to start it without chdk i got "Lens error turn off/on".

Camera was only in indoor use, it is not hardware failure or dust.

Maybe.  Or maybe not.  In know its frustrating but lens errors are reported to be the most common failure for digital P&S cameras.  While its possible this is related to CHDK,  it may have happened anyway.  All it takes is a little bump.  Statistically,  there will be some failures while people are using CHDK.   So far, nobody else has reported the failure mode you describe though.

Google "sx120 lens error" and you get hundreds of hits.

This page is the best one I've seen on the topic of what to do about it : Fixing lens error on digital cameras.  When I bumped the lens on my SD940 and got a lens error while playing with CHDK,  I ended up going all the way to fix # 6b before my camera started working again.  You have to make the call about what you want to do.
