CHDKPTP not working, only results in "Operation not supported"

I tried using CHDKPTP to view my SD card without inserting and re-inserting over and over, and none of it works. I installed the driver multiple times using Zadig, I restarted the camera, inserted the cable multiple times and nothing works, it just errors out. This is what I get when I try and do anything.

update_mode_list failed Operation Not Supported
WARNING: camera live view protocol not supported by this client, live view disabled>
ERROR: Operation Not Supported
ERROR: Operation Not Supported
ERROR: Operation Not Supported
ERROR: Operation Not Supported

and it connects to "bus-0:\\.\libusb0-0002--0x04a9-0x32ad"

If there is anymore info I can send please let me know

Are you sure CHDK is running on your camera? Also, what camera, and what version of CHDK?

If you see this, then the driver is almost certainly installed correctly.

Okay, now I have another strange issue, the zip I downloaded for CHDK says sx410is-100b-1.5.1-6085-full.zip but in the CHDK build info it says 100c?

Nothing to worry about.
The 1.00b and 1.00c firmware versions are equivalent as far as CHDK is concerned so we only build one version (1.00c) and copy it for the auto build download server.

CHDK ports:
  sx30is (1.00c, 1.00h, 1.00l, 1.00n & 1.00p)
  g12 (1.00c, 1.00e, 1.00f & 1.00g)
  sx130is (1.01d & 1.01f)
  ixus310hs (1.00a & 1.01a)
  sx40hs (1.00d, 1.00g & 1.00i)
  g1x (1.00e, 1.00f & 1.00g)
  g5x (1.00c, 1.01a, 1.01b)
  g7x2 (1.01a, 1.01b, 1.10b)

Uh, I figured out the issue, it turns out you have to connect your camera, then start CHDKPTP, not the other way around. Thank you for the help anyway though, I appreciate it.

Glad to hear you got it working, but FWIW, connecting the camera after starting chdkptp should work fine. It does for me on Windows 10 (and linux and Mac)
