me too am a A2000IS 1.00B owner. I tried XnView.It opens CRW file from my camera too. But before opening i get a box which says "This picture will be converted to RGB with 8 bit per component". What does that mean? Is it changing something permanently in the picture or is it something else?

Thought I'd mention that FDRTools also opens and edits CHDK RAW files. At least from my PS A630. It's quite a decent little editor, too. Comes in free and paid versions. I'm using the free...there's not too much difference between the two.

It's available here.

The latest RawTherapee release 2.4.1 works with many of the newer CHDK RAW images (it's based on dcraw 8.97), e.g. the SX1, SX10, A470...

I have SX 200, CHDK b873. I have shot pictures in raw and dng format, but their size in pixels are half of the size of the jpgs. raw/dng 1500x2000, jpg 3000x4000. And what more interesting, the jpg picture seams to be a cropped raw. Like they have been cut of from the middle of the raw picture. Why are not the same the raw and jpg pictures (except lens distortion). raw is 18 Mb, jpg 2-4 Mb

The RAW's are o.k. - check your viewer's settings !
Most viewers use thumbnail or half-size preview of RAW/DNG images by default, to speed things up...

So does the camera fix covert pictures already taken or just future pictures? If not, what can I use to convert my.crw to .dng.?BTW I have a Sx10 IS
