If you want to run it from the command line, you can use

chdkptp -rfilename
Thanks very much. I was looking for that option (rfilename) so I can make a .bat script.

In changeset 431 I added a screenshot button which saves the current live view image as a ppm.

The screenshot button is very nice, Thanks for that.

In revision 434 I've created an additional tab for user functions. As example therefore there are some remote capture functions.

Perhaps it would be useful, in addition to the CD libraries the IM libraries to integrate. So we have more possibilities for image functions, e.g. picture preview for the GUI.

Yes, this is something I have had in mind for a while, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I've uploaded snapshot r438 to the files area: https://www.assembla.com/spaces/chdkptp/documents

The main purpose of this update is to fix the file timestamp bug pointed out by Stick in http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=8801.msg105264#msg105264

I have also added preliminary support for drag and drop upload. This is only tested on windows, and doesn't prompt to confirm the location or overwrite. Using this you can select files and/or directories on your pc and drop them in a directory of the tree view to upload.

Going the other way (from the file tree to your PC) is not supported.

I have SX200 and live view is always frozen at the first picture shown. I cannot erect the lens and no buttons are working an the GUI. But can set to show the UI overlay.
Have Win 7 and  CHDK 1.2 3123, ptpCamGui2.0.136 is working on my PC.
What can be done to use live view? thanks

So if you press the "rec" button, nothing at all happens? Any messages in the console?

Is the physical screen on the camera on?

Have you tried
=switch_mode_usb(1)
in the console?

Can you switch to record mode in ptpCamGui?

Note, it's normal that most keys do not respond when you are connected and not in rec mode, the Canon firmware ignores key presses when it thinks PTP is connected. You can usually use
=post_levent_to_ui(4484)
to unlock them.

edit:
This camera supposedly worked at some point in the past http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=650.msg88814#msg88814

I had to push the REC button on the GUI, and everything goes OK. THANKS! :)
