I'm still a bit confused about some chdk features:
*what should camera do an specific (chdk) action (CHDK Guide 03 help at lot!)
*understand some more chdk (lowlevel) stuff (interaction with firmware / hardware)

what is it in particular you have questions about? the chdk guide 03 is quite old by now. i recommend reading the german manual in the wiki, guys like msl & FE50 go to great lengths keeping it up to date to reflect the latest sources. if that cant answer your question, ask right away, either here or in irc :)

I have the same  GM 1.00C  Jul 24 2006   18:57:34  firmware on my SD900.

I've just installed the latest beta - it boots up fine but haven't tried anything else yet...

Thanks very much for the excellent work!

Tested quite a lot this evening found only 2 things, In video the Fast Video Control locks up the camera when changing bitrate during shooting, and the F stop display is still showing "?" when a bright image forces the ND filter in,

Auto Iso, Bracketing, shutter speed override, user menu, and many more all work ok

See the stickies in RAW Shooting and Processing

CHDK doesn't shoot actual .crw or .cr2, regardless of which extension you choose.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Your right, changing Bitrate with Fast Video Control does lock up camera control, only chdk menu is working... ToDo

Finally understand the "magic" behind F stop value, fixed it in Beta v18 (available soon)!

reyalp was quicker, thankx!
I've tested Raw Therapee, DNG4PS, Lightroom, VxView, Photoshop with RAW Plugin and Canon Software...

RAW is one of the next issus i have to fix... ToDo

I'm new to CHDK. My camera is Digital IXUS 900 TI with GM1.00C Firmware of Jul 24 2006 18:57:34. P-ID 3115 PAL. It is giving me E18 error, but the camera seems to work ok. I do not remember the camera falling down and I am the only user.

I was downloading Beta17 and doing some pictures see that RAW are giving me alternate good and bad ones.

Many thanks for CHDK. I see it a little bit complex for a beginner (like myself) but it seems to empower your P&S camera over your own limits. So good reason to investigate. I am mainly looking for RAW and Bracketing.

How could I be of any help?
