installed V15 and video does work also the shttuer speed and F stop display works, Custom Auto ISO only  works in AUTO and Video, not in Manual, I put V14 back in and Custom Auto ISO works in all modes including Manual

Thanks for the quick updates at this point the software is very usable, I have been playing with bracketing and HDR but nothing I am willing to show yet, HDR was the main reason I was happy to see you working on a port, I just have a lot to learn about it.  Thanks I will keep testing, I am not into RAW yet

In testing I have found several things, The F stop display only works when the the ND filter is out and displays "?" when the ND is in,  display is correct F2.8 when filter is out,  Also the bracketing has stopped working correctly, it now only increases exposure no decrease exposure images.  below is the exposure value for 5 images in bracketing using both V14 and V15
settings
TV bracketing Value 1 EV
ISO bracketing Value 0
Factor 0ff
Type +/-

All Apertures were F2.8 Shutter Speed Below

2              1/16          2 sec.
3              1/8            1/2
4              1/125         4 sec.

Happy new year, down loaded the v16 port, exposure display works but still displays "?" for f8 no big deal we know what it is, bracketing works again, and custom auto ISO seems to work ok, i get the same results i get on my SD500, fast EV switching works exactly the way it is on my SD500, that port did not disable the canon ev switch or the canon ev display, histrogram and zebra work, all seems good ::)

I loaded Ver16 onto my IXY1000 v1.00c and checked RAW processing.
It looks OK and excellent pictures are created. One thing found is 1st,3rd,5th,7th,,,,,(ODD sequense number since power ON) files  are corrupted.
I use UFRaw, RawTherapee,DNG4PS-2.

v16 removed sd overriding. and all bracketing of focal distance has been removed.

is there any particular reason why subject distance overrides have been disabled for the last 2 builds?

Sorry i didn't posting about v16 yet...
I was not shure about some changes i made since Beta v13...

I'm still a bit confused about some chdk features:
*what should camera do an specific (chdk) action (CHDK Guide 03 help at lot!)
*understand some more chdk (lowlevel) stuff (interaction with firmware / hardware)

About the issus with F stop display, i have found some sort of table with the f stop params and compared them to chdk values, the table should be correct. Maybe Canon firmware round the actual value? - ToDo
I'm still not shure if "Custom Auto ISO" works... ToDo?

chdk shows F stop value (2,8) with and without nf-filter (could not test it with better light conditions yet...) - ToDo
had tested bracketing only once yet - ToDo

so till F8 chdk does show correct values?
I was not shure if canon menu should be disabled when fast ev switching is enabled... at least something :-) -> DONE

i also have corrupt files. RAW hooking is still not correct. - ToDo

Thats true, i've disabled it...
but i'll upload v17 with reenabled sd override... (i was not shure if supported)

the canon SD cameras do not have a true aperture just a nutral density filter,  with the lens at wide angel the 2 possible apertures are f2.8 (ND filter out) and f8 (ND filter in)  as the lens zooms it will decrease the apterure based on the abilty of the lens to pass light, with the lens zoomed to 3X the aperture with the ND filter out is f4.9 (based on the CHDK display on my SD500) it should be the same on the SD900  V16 shows the correct apterure value with the ND filter out

The display shows f2.8 if the ND filter is put "in" using CHDK ( the SD500 port of CHDK dose the same)
