Experience using Canon Remote Capture with CHDK cameras?

Would like to use my A570 for some Macro Photo Projects.

Checked my Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk ver 12.0 and have Remote Capture 2.7.0

Searched the forum but did not find anything using "Canon Remote Capture".

Am interested in any tips or suggestions using Canon Remote Capture with CHDK cameras.

Canon does not provide remote control on P&S cameras any more, a570 is no exception to that. But CHDK PTP comes to the resque...It's under active development, but you may already find it useful.

so it is still early for me.

Both of these are only about the chdkptp client. ptpcamgui is much more mature.

Would like to try ptpcam gui on WindowsXP.

I tried to follow msl instructions but while it opened, I could not use my A570 CHDK camera when it was turned on and connected by usb.

Am guessing that I did not place libusb-win32 correctly.

Do you know of either a Screen Capture or a list of all the files and placement in ptpcam gui folder? 

If not could I request either to check my nonworking ptpcam gui folder with a working one?
