A new camera,  a new processor.  We will have to see what that means for CHDK.

The Canon S100 looks like a sweet camera.   I have been using CHDK / SDM with the Canon S95 for over a year.....love it!  Use if for taking pictures from kites.

Will jump to the Canon S100 as soon as a beta version of CHDK / SDM is available....interesting possibilities with new low light sensor, impressive ISO, HD video and on-board GPS.....wonder how well it picks up altitude ;-)

The DIGIC 5 image processor appears to be fair bit faster...may have to adjust scripts a bit.

Anyone kicking the tires yet on this camera?

An SDM beta usually means somebody does a CHDK version first. SDM is a remora on CHDK that adds really good functionality in a few specific areas.

The S95 is an amazing camera - I'm impressed that you want to trade for an S100.  Are you interested in doing or helping to do a S100 port for CHDK ? Can I have your used S95 ?

Yes interested in helping with the S100.  S95 is still my go to camera with CHDK / SDM.   The S100 adds a few features that I am interested in tapping into....better low light capability, GPS, few others....

got the s100 yesterday, pretty sweet little camera, though lacks a few things that a CHDK OS could improve on. so does having a newer processor mean that the firmware has to be reverse engineered from scratch? i like the camera but i cant do what i want with it until there is a CHDK release....

hopefully someone is already working on it?

PS the battery life is really weak on this camera, 200shots if im lucky and not messing with setting too much, and GPS just makes it worse...would be a great mod if CHDK could manage the power with the GPS more efficiently
