Hi,

I have just bought a SX50 and the first thing i did was install CHDK on it due to a long and happy experience with CHDK. I have turned the histogram 'off' in CHDK menu. But after taking a few pics, and replay, histogram turns to the setting 'always' automatically. Also once my ods was set to invisible, this might have the same cause but did not reproduce so far. i use build 1.1.0-2798 FW version 100b. i think its a bug.

This has been reported by one other user on the dpreview.com forum thread for Canon Powershots.   However,  I have been unable to reproduce it with my SX50

One theory is that its a "shortcut" being triggered accidentally from the keyboard.   There is a way to disable shortcuts in the 1.2.0 development version of CHDK.  That version works really well on the SX50 so perhaps you could try downloading it, disabling shortcts and see if the problem goes away?

It worked. The Beta version, with shortcuts off, did not turn the histogram / or store raw (i noticed later this also turned on automatically) any more. I am a very happy user now.

The same thing with
CHDK Settings->OSD Settings->Miscellaneous Values->Show Misc Values [Shoot]
Misc Values [] is [Always] on when set to Misc Values [Shoot]
